We are in need of a dedicated, professional and reliable Senior Electro-Mechanical Assembler.
Job Summary:
Assemble and rework complex mechanical and electrical components, sub-assemblies and full assemblies.
Job Duties:
- ·Assemble small parts manually
- Ensure that special order requirements and standards are met consistently
- Solder components to PCBA, cables, and connectors
- Use hand tools and test equipment safely and effectively
- Perform wiring, soldering, crimping, and mechanical assembly with precision and accuracy
- Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues and propose and / or implement corrective actions
- Use an engraving machine
- Make every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality
- Work cooperatively with the Specials Electrical Engineer to ensure the correct order specifications are being adhered to
- Ensure all assemblies meet quality standards and special order deadlines
- Requisition stocked parts in accordance to the bill of material or Engineer provided parts list
- Utilize Syteline ERP system to look up inventory and review bill of materials
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices
- Prepare and work with various adhesives and epoxies as part of assembly process
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to all company policies and core values
- Maintain a clean and organized work station daily
- Respond to emails timely
Knowledge and Abilities
- Ability to assemble small components
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and verbal direction
- Excellent manual dexterity and precise hand/eye coordination
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and have excellent time management
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of Electro-mechanical assembly and soldering experience in a Production
- Manufacturing, or Engineering environment
- Familiarity with ESD procedures and protocols
- Must be able to interpret technical drawings, schematics, work instructions
- Background in troubleshooting and quality assurance
- Strong soldering skills (IPC certification a plus)
- Experience in the Manufacturing of Electronics
- Experience using a lathe and drill press, a plus
- Ability to use various hand tools, multimeters, and microscopes
- Experience testing and troubleshooting electronic equipment preferred
Work Environment
This position is exposed to manufacturing noise, epoxies/adhesives, fumes, and odors
Depending on experience this MAY be a temp to hire position.
(You will start with an agency for 30-60 days, afterwards you will be eligible to be hired directly by Ocean Technology Systems)
2 shifts available, including every other Friday off!
9/80:
- Monday-Thursday: 6:30 am – 4 pm
- Friday: 6:30 am – 3pm (every other Friday off)
10/80
- Monday-Thursday: 7:30 am – 4pm
- Friday: 6:30 – 3 pm
