Job Summary:

Responsible for the entire Engineering Change (ECN) process, including: receiving ECN request, planning ECN with requestor, writing ECN, communication and approval, enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation, documentation delivery, material disposition, closure, and status reporting.  Responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient preparation and management of documents. Controls the numbering, sorting, filing, storing and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy documents produced by technical teams, projects or departments.

Depending on experience, this may be a temp –> hire position.

Job Duties:

  • Coordinates ECNs with internal cross functional groups and external customers.
  • Overall responsible for the ECN process.
  • Leads ECN coordination, keeps current, and communicates status of all ECN projects.
  • Maintains/coordinates ECN implementation dates with cross functional groups.
  • Identify, coordinate and implement process improvements to assure department functions are thorough, accurate, understandable, timely and responsive to needs of customers and OTS.
  • Creates and updates production documents including: bills of material, routings, and part specifications.
  • Maintains revision control of production documents.
  • Maintains confidentiality around sensitive information.
  • Checks files for accuracy.
  • Creates and updates production item master and routing using Syteline ERP software.
  • Coordinates directly with engineers, drafters, and engineering management to support all documentation as needed according to company standards and best practices.

 

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Computer literate: Microsoft Office, ERP Systems, Access database.
  • Knowledge of technical documentation including CAD drawings, bills of material, and job routing.
  • Able to interpret instructions both written and oral.
  • Able to work as a team with coworkers to resolve work issues.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a manner which best satisfies OTS needs.

Education and Experience:
Associates degree.  Minimum 2-year experience implementing changes in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment.

Two Schedules to choose from 8/80 or 9/80 with every other Friday off

Fridays we close at 3pm

Job Summary:

You will provide technical support to the product development team by performing skilled technical electronics work.

Job Duties:

  • Installs, maintains, alters, repairs, and replaces various electronic circuitries.
  • Verify electronic circuitries for accuracy and that they meet the requirement.
  • Inspects, maintains, installs, tests, and makes electronic repairs to specialized equipment and does electrical and mechanical work in repairing, and replacing parts; coordinates and instructs the work of skilled trade assistants.
  • Layout, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems.
  • Apply principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, electronic and electrical testing, engineering mathematics, and assembles experimental circuitry.
  • Test, inspect, and troubleshoot electronic circuitries by the use of test equipment include using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and digital multi-meter.

Knowledge and Abilities:

Fundamental knowledge includes:

  • Interpret schematics
  • Build prototype
  • Use of test and assembly equipment such as
    • soldering iron,

  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuit down to component level on the printed circuit boards with standard test equipment.

Education and Experience:
Minimum of 1 – 3 years of experience. Hold at least a two-year degree in electronics, vocational training in electronics, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Job Summary:

Design, develop, machine, assemble & test new and existing OTS products to meet customer’s specific needs and requirements for special orders and engineering projects.

Primary Duties:

  • Knowledge of materials including adhesives, potting materials, plastics, and metals is preferred.
  • Ability to solder and use hand tools.
  • Must have analog audio knowledge and the ability to download programs into microprocessors.
  • Must be able to read and understand schematics.
  • Customer service and communication skills.
  • Have the ability to machine with manual machines.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot at the component level of digital analog circuit boards.
  • Ability to create design documentation and work independently. Knowledge of Microsoft office programs including Outlook and Excel.
  • Draftsight, Autocad, and Syteline experience ideal.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines and order due dates.
  • Build, repair, and improve electromechanical test equipment
  • Build, repair, and improve production fixtures
  • Must be able to test, inspect, and troubleshoot electronic circuitries by the use of test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and digital multi-meter.
  • 3D modeling utilizing Solidworks is a plus
  • Must have electronics knowledge and experience

Education and Experience:

  • Four year degree in applicable field
  • Minimum of ten years as an Engineering Technician or an Engineer with mechanical and electrical experience.
  • Senior Electronic Technician experience ideal.
  • Project Management experience helpful.

Our service department is in need of a dedicated and reliable Service Electronic Technician.

Do you know RF, audio, PCB repair?  The RMA process?

You evaluate and identify issues with equipment sent in for service and repair and restore functionality.

Job Duties:

  • Evaluate equipment sent in for repair and perform a preliminary diagnostic of the issue
  • Notate recommended repairs and associated costs on RMA form
  • Validate diagnosis once repair has been approved and perform necessary repairs to restore functionality
  • Indicate all parts utilized from service inventory on back on RMA form and adjust inventory accordingly
  • Notate all work performed to each line item
  • Reference schematics and test procedures to assist with evaluation and identify individual specifications to restore complete functionality
  • Reference BOM’s in ERP system to identify part numbers
  • Perform cyclical counts of Service Department inventory when requested
  • Maintain inventory levels and submit parts requisitions when necessary for service inventory or customer repairs
  • Perform pressure and functionality testing
  • Disassemble and reassemble products to access failure point and repair
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance to customers and personnel when needed

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Experience working with and assembling hardware systems (mechanical & electrical hardware)
  • Ability to review build of materials and identify part numbers in Syteline. Ability to use excel to record data on spreadsheets.
  • Previous Electronic Technician experience required.
  • Strong electronic knowledge including ohms law and problem-solving ability required.
  • Ability to analyze electronic circuits, read schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, and troubleshoot at the component level.
  • Must have good time management, communication skills, be team oriented, and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to analyze electronic circuits, read schematics, and troubleshoot at the component level required.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to departmental changes with a positive attitude is necessary.
  • Some familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Excel, helpful.

You will perform test operations utilizing test methods and or written or verbal instructions as required. Obtain necessary reference documentation as required to perform testing e.g. (Test Methods, Specification Drawings, Schematics). Set up test equipment as required to perform all necessary tests and or troubleshooting of production equipment.

Job Duties:

  • Read and follow detailed drawings, digital instructions, written procedures and verbal and written instructions.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair devices
  • Provide recommendations for problem resolution
  • Ensure that all repairs meet or exceed quality standards
  • Determines if the designated product passes all test cycles. Collects diagnostic information needed.

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of relevant experience

Job Duties:

  • Assemble and rework precision electro-mechanical parts, sub-assemblies or full assemblies using a variety of small hand held tools
  • Perform wire preparation for assembly, i.e., wire stripping, crimping, termination and marking.
  • Possess above average soldering and rework skills and have familiarity with IPC standards.
  • Read, interpret and follow engineering drawings and specifications as well as follow written work instructions and procedures.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently
  • Make every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality
  • Work cooperatively with the Manufacturing Assistant to exceed deadlines and goals
  • Prepare and work with various adhesives and epoxies as part of assembly process

The purpose of this job is to GROW SALES in your assigned territories including existing customers and prospective customers thereby ensuring that Ocean Technology Systems meets our growth targets.

Outside sales! You may be traveling over 50% of the time. Full time position, some weekends as needed.

This territory focuses on domestic business in western United States starting with TX, OK, KS, NE, SD, ND to the west coast including HI, AK and Guam.

Job Duties:

  • Create and implement a sales strategy that aligns personal goals/objectives with company growth goals
  • Answers and handles telephone calls/emails in a professional and timely manner (within 1 business day).
  • Serves as the product expert for OTS products.
  • Hunts for new business and grows territories in accordance with sales goals.
  • Communicate with all current and potential customers on a regular basis, providing solutions as needed, and oversee all sales activity in assigned territory
  • Travel to customer location(s) to present company products, services, and pricing information in a professional manner.
  • Submit appropriate paperwork to management such as expense reports and trip reports in a timely manner
  • Maintain compliance with all established Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Attend weekly sales meetings/conference calls / 1:1 meetings with manager
  • Call on all open quotes monthly and document updates and next steps in appropriate database
  • Maintain a sales pipeline in alignment with close ratio to maintain sales quota.
  • Maintain appropriate records for the development of sales forecasts, territory potential, workload analysis, customer visit/call programs and sales route
  • Collect and report competitive information to management
  • Attend key training activities and exhibit at trade shows relevant to each market.
  • As applicable, manage the order process in a professional manner
  • Recommend products and services that effectively meet customer needs
  • Apply advanced level product knowledge to assist customers as well as OTS support staff when necessary
  • Understand and support established sales policies and procedures to provide proper and efficient service to customers
  • Receive and resolve customer complaints and problems in a timely manner in cooperation with management
  • Assist in training of any salesman/inside sales as requested
  • Adhere to all company procedures, policies and core values ensuring you provide an accurate representation of the company to all potential and current customers.
  • Perform job duties as efficiently as possible, reducing costs and maximizing profits when possible
  • Develop and submit annual travel plan to sales manager including key customer visits, demonstration days, trade shows, seminars, etc.

You will be a VALUABLE part of our front office team assisting across many departments, accounts payable and also greeting and assisting office visitors.

Job Summary:

You will provide general office support for a variety of clerical activities and tasks including but not limited to: answering incoming calls, managing the reception area, mail, requisitioning supplies, organizing office communication, and general administrative tasks. Additionally, this role financial support by submitting payments, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.  Acts as an Accounts Receivable back up on an as-needed basis.

THIS IS A TEMP TO HIRE POSITION.

(You will start with a temp agency, afterwards you will be eligible to be hired directly by Ocean Technology Systems.)

Job Duties:

  • Answer telephones and direct the caller to appropriate associate; transfer caller to voice mailbox when associate is unavailable; takes and retrieves messages
  • Greets and directs visitors to the company; manages reception area to maintain a professional image
  • Receive, sort and forward incoming mail
  • Assist in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies
  • Coordinate the repairs and maintenance of office equipment, including copier, fax machines, computers, printers, etc.
  • Manage conference room reservations and organize all aspects for meetings
  • Type correspondence and reports; edit and update various spreadsheets
  • Assists Human Resources and President as-needed
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Back-Up Accounts Receivable job functions as necessary
  • Processes invoices for payment; prints and mails accounts payable checks
  • Match purchase orders to invoices
  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries
  • Performs data entry
  • Maintains accounts payable files and records
  • Responds to vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check requests; assists with discrepancy reconciliation
  • Prints and routes accounts payable reports
  • Assists with preparation of 1099s
  • Report sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices

Knowledge and Abilities

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Working knowledge of mail processes such as postage machine, FedEx, UPS
  • Computer literacy; Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, data entry
  • Ability to enter data efficiently, timely and correctly in order to meet deadlines
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Well-developed verbal, listening, and written communications skills
  • Ability to work independently or as a team player
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and manner
  • Ability to contend with a wide variety of people on various issues
  • Ability to work in a busy office with constant interruptions

Current schedule:

  • Full time, 40hrs per week. 
  • Friday’s we close at 3pm!

Benefits offered:

Compensation: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour depending on experience

  • PTO/Vacation: Employee accrue 5 vacation days (40 hours) through the first year, with an increase beyond the first year + Paid Holidays
